Fred Shafer

Fred Serves as the Executive Director of Special Needs Ministry at Kingsland. Fred has over 40 years' public school experience working with children with special needs. He served 10 years as the Executive Director of Special Education for Katy ISD and three years as the Special Education Director for Region 4 Education Service Center before retiring. After retiring he served as a special education consultant for school districts and the Texas Education Agency as well as serving as an interim Special Education Director for school districts. Fred felt the calling of God to begin serving in the Special Needs Ministry at Kingsland where he is completing his first year in the position. Fred is married to his wife Patti a retired education administrator. Fred and Patti have two married children and four grandchildren all who attend Kingsland.
