Guidelines
Contributors must be passionate about freely sharing resources for others to use at no charge to the user. Users are not allowed to use our resources for profit of any kind. Contributors will also collaborate with the EH editorial team to ensure all resources reflect the heart and vision of the Empowered Homes Ministry. As an extension of the Empowered Homes Ministry and Kingsland Baptist Church and ultimately a reflection of Jesus Christ, you should maintain honesty, authenticity and integrity in the development of all resources. Always cite sources and give credit to other authors for content that is not original.
Articles
We accept traditional articles, personal devotionals, prayer guides, and advice articles, among many others. In all cases, sticking to the guidelines below helps us ensure consistency and readability across all our resources.
Articles should range between 1,500-2,500 words in length. Individual paragraphs should be no longer than 150 words. Articles should contain an introductory paragraph. Include headings and transition words throughout articles to guide the reader, and use short sentences with language and vocabulary geared toward a 15-18 year old reading level. Our aim is clarity! When possible, write in active tense rather than passive tense (“he wrote” over “was written,” for example).
Also, we know there are a number of excellent Bible translations available, but, in most cases, we prefer the CSB translation when referencing or quoting a passage of Scripture.

We also accept a wide range of ministry resources, including small group curriculums, Bible studies, messages, discipleship guides, group activity cards, preschool craft templates and more. We encourage you to browse our available EH resources for ideas!
