Cleansing Prayers are helpful to our hearts after we have prayed for someone or visited with someone who is carrying a heavy burden. Cleansing Prayers also help us in situations where ungodly thoughts, words, or actions have taken place in our relationships with others. The idea of the cleansing prayer is to release the other person into the hands of the Lord and cleanse us from anything physical, emotional or spiritual that may have connected us to the other person in an unhealthy way.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for granting me the privilege of ministering to __________________ (fill in the blanks with the name of person). I now release __________________ to you and the responsibility for his/her healing and freedom to you. I do not have the power to heal or free__________________ but commit them to you.
Thank you, Lord, for your love for __________________ which is far greater than mine could ever be.
Where I have been connected to __________________ in any way that is outside your will, I ask you to forgive me and to unbind any ungodly ties between us.
Lord, set me free, by Your Spirit from anything emotional or spiritual that transferred to me during this ministry. I bind any evil spirits and demand them to go in the Name of Jesus Christ and by His power and His authority. I cancel out any spiritual attack that is being raised up against me and my family in the Name of Jesus.
Lord, cleanse me and restore me. Fill me with your Spirit and renew me where I have been depleted through this ministry.
Seal that which has been accomplished in __________________’s life and protect him/her from the enemy. I give the honor, glory and praise to You.
