What is an Every Day Carry prayer? EDC, for those of you not familiar with the phrase, means Every Day Carry. Essentially, it’s a phrase or a tag associated with people discussing/showing what they deem important to carry every day in their pockets or backpacks. These are essential for survival.
Here are Ten EDC Prayers for when you feel overwhelmed.
“God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer. I call to you from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to a rock that is high above me, for you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower in the face of the enemy. I will dwell in your tent forever and take refuge under the shelter of your wings.” Psalm 61:1-4
Lord, thank you for being my strong tower and refuge. My heart is without strength, lead me. I trust you. Thank you for seeing and knowing my heart. I need your shelter. I need your strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Lord, you are praiseworthy and in control. You are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and commendable. Help me to dwell on you. Lord help me dwell on the fact that you, the Creator of the universe, see me and know my name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, help me to hear your voice. I pray against the enemy’s attacks in my mind. Help me to focus my thoughts on you. Guide me to take negative thoughts captive to obey you today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
