In this video, Pastor Ryan Rush talks to the staff at Kingsland Baptist Church about the upper room and Leadership Development.

As we equip volunteers and members we must focus on the upper room in four major areas of our leadership.

1. Leadership Development: As we train and develop volunteers we must lead with the upper room in mind. Make sure they know the mission, vision, and values of the church. What do they need to know?

2. Conflict Resolution: When conflict arises, take them to the upper room and go back to evaluate it through what God has sent us to do. Can we accomplish the same thing in a different way?

3. Strategic Decisions: Go to the upper room when you need to figure out solutions. How can I communicate the big picture?

4. Outreach: Every time we talk about our church and simulation, we must point people to the upper room and talk about big picture vision. How can I share the big picture of the church as guests talk about the lower room?

As a leader, we must keep in mind and point our people to Philippians 4:8: “Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise-dwell on these things.”
