ABIDE Prayer: God is Able!
The purpose of ABIDE is to seek God through prayer, rely on the Spirit as we gather together, and pray with unity and purpose. ABIDE prayers are Scripture-led and Spirit-focused prayers.
Our God is able! He has sufficient power, strength, skill, resources of any kind to accomplish His work in us and through us. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us- to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen.”
Prayers of Remembrance
“I remember the days of old; I mediate on all you have done; I reflect on the work of your hands” (Psalm 143:5).
Let’s remember and thank God for the work of His hands in our lives, in our families and in our church.

Prayers for God’s Power
Prayer: God, speak to our hearts about your Kingdom and the work you want to do in our lives, our families and your church. We believe that you are able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to your power within us.
Prayer: God, show me your power in _________________________ (fill in the blank where you need God’s power to work in your life).
Prayer: God, show us your power in _________________________ (fill in the blank where we need to see God’s power work in our church).
Prayers for God’s Glory
As we remember the work of God’s hands and we pray for God’s power in our lives, families and church, let’s ask God to give us a passion to give Him glory for who He is and all He has done in our lives.
“I will make known the LORD’s faithful love and the LORD’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the LORD has done for us – even the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, which he did for them based on his compassion and the abundance of his faithful love” (Isaiah 63:7).
Prayer: God, give us a passion to tell others of who you are and how you have transformed our lives. God give us a passion to tell _________________________ (fill in the blank with the name of someone the Spirit puts on your heart) of how you have worked in my life.
Closing Prayer
Holy Spirit, lead us and teach us today. Reveal yourself to us and through us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
